The IPT considers itself a research and development partner for the industry. We accompany and support product and process development projects from finding a concept to the pre production maturity.
Founded in 1995, the ipt is a legally and economically independent research institute of the Wismar University. Up to this date we work together very closely. The IPT is structurally incorporated in an efficient network of partners, which makes it highly flexible. This, of course, benefits our clients and development partners. Our tasks are structured in three main spheres of competence: development of processing and of the material for injection molding, extrusion and rotation molding. Because we connect studies and development, that are based on essentials and very closely orientated by applications, we are able to react to questions from the industry thoroughly and promptly.
netfabb is a great software for generating structures and then producing them with the RP- or RT-method. One of it's outstanding features is the capability to create complex, unique and functionally dimensioned 3D structures. It allows us to transfer these structres to other application programs, that we use e.g. for calculating mechanical loading or manifacturing prototypes. Therefore the integration of the individual structures into the numerical simulation supports our constructer in optimizing the components.
